Feast of the baptism of the lord.
READINGS:

The baptism of our lord is a very significant event in the life and mission of Jesus.
With this feast the church concludes the season of Christmas and delves into the public life of Jesus.
For Jesus baptism is the official manifestation by god the father himself.
If Christmas is the manifestation to the Jews and the epiphany is manifestation to the wise and the gentiles the baptism is manifestation to the world at large and the identification of Jesus with the sinful mankind.
It is also a moment of decision, equipment and accepting "servant” path as delineated in the first reading.
Message: The sacrament of baptism for me and for you is the gateway to receive graces.... (Refer catechism if the Catholic Church #1213). Do i value sacraments?
