READINGS:
1R: 1 SAM 3: 1- 10, 19- 20 PS 39: 2, AND 5 : 7- 8 A, 8 B- 9, 10
GOS : MK 1:29- 39.
The first reading gives us the classical response which every believer should give to god and to his word.
“speak o lord thy servant listens"
So many hymns have been composed based on this classical theme.
Isn't it time that, i develop such dispositions?
From the gospel let us draw two lessons out of many.
1.) Wherever Jesus is there; there is goodness.
Read today's passage and you will realise.
2.) Jesus does not get struck.
Disciples tell him that everybody is seeking him.
Any ordinary mortal would have been bowled over twice at such response.
But Jesus has a mission to fulfil and a baptism to "complete"
Is my eye firmly set on the "mission”?
