Is there a good time to do good?
Jesus by his action demonstrates that any day, any time is right time for doing good.
The practice of Sabbath was made so complex by the scribes and Pharisees may be everybody had forgotten the real intent of Sabbath.
Jesus by his action teaches that Sunday should be devoted for god's service which gets complete by my service to the needy.
From the first reading let us draw two definite lessons.
1. David tells Goliath that it is by the strength of the living god one gets victory and not by the sword, spear or bow.

2. God makes use of the already honed skill in a person. Because David was a Sheppard he definitely knew to aim the stone. That is, don't expect god to do everything. He always desires an active and a sensible partner.
