Nov. 24: The parish feast of Corpus Christi Church was celebrated on the 24th November 2010 with festal joy and conventional solemnity. The solemn Eucharistic celebration started at 10.15 a.m. V. Rev Fr Stany Goveas, the Dean of Episcopal City Varado and the Secretary of the Senate of Priests was the main celebrant and the preacher.
All the 13 priests of the Moodbidri Varado and 7 guest priests concelebrated along with V. Rev. Fr Austin Peter Peres, the Parish Priest and the Vicar Vara of Moodbidri Varado.
At 10.00 a.m. the donors and well wishers as well as the Parish Pastoral Parishadh Members were honored traditionally by giving them the candles.
The Statue of Infant Jesus and Our Lady of Vailankanni were blessed and kept for public worship and veneration.
The Statue as well as the “Cherrel” of our lady of Vailankanni is donated by Mr & Mrs Vincent and Elveera Fernandes & Family, Bejai.
The statue of Infant Jesus is donated by Mr & Mrs Godwin Cardoza & Family, Ruzai ward of Moodbidri Parish.
ICYM had put up stalls with lucky and fun games.
The Lucky Coupon, were the person can get a Bike from Re. 1 to Rs. 999 were also taken by many people.
More than 1000 devotees participated.
The entire program will be televised on Sunday, the 28th November, 2010 at 8.00 a.m.
