Jan. 30: The Annual day of Carmel Ward (Vado) of Corpus Christi Parish – Moodbidri was celebrated on 30th January 2011 at the house of Mr. Cyril Nazareth, Saldanha Compound from 12.00 Noon till 2.30 p.m. About 60 people were present.
The Program started with Welcome Dance : Jesus came to our Vado This day and Hymn, “Calling Jesus among us” Reading of the Holy Bible, Prayers of the Faithful and singing the Hymn Aicha Deesha Maaye Bhov Sobith.
Cake and Soft drink was served to all.
Rev. Fr. Austin Peres – Parish Priest, Mr. Jossy Menezes-Vice President,Mrs. Rita Rego– Secretary, Lena D'Costa, Hilda Fernandes and Mabel Sequeira – Vado gurkarns, Sisters from Carmel and Morning Star Convents were the guests.
This followed by the entertaining program as detailed below:

Thereafter the games were conducted and prizes distributed.
The Lunch was served after reciting the prayers and blessing for the food provided.
The food was prepared by the vado ladies at Mrs. Jessie D’Souza’s house. The Lunch Menu was: Chicken curry, Pork Meat, Grams Sukka, Rice, Dal Sar, Pickle and Vorn. The Vado families cooked the food and contributed for the celebration.
Mrs. Eva Tellis organized the function (M.C.) with her good comments on the vado unity & John Menezes assisted her. The celebration was grand and the vice President commented on the good quality of the abilities of the participants. Parish Priest Rev. Fr Austin Peter Peres gave a message on this occassion.
A big thank you to all who made this Vado annual day a successful event.
