Carmel Vado: Annual Day 2012:

Feb. 19: The Annual day of Carmel Ward (Vado) of Corpus Christi Parish – Moodbidri was celebrated on 19th February 2012 at the house of Mr Rudolph and Mrs Winnie Miranda  - Nisarga Nagara from 2.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.  About 60 people were present.

The Program started with welcoming the guests,  Hymn-“Hath Jodun Magtaun Somiya”, Calling  Jesus among us,  Reading of the Holy Bible, Prayers of the Faithful and singing the Hymn “Argan Tuka Somiya”

Cake and Soft drink was served to all.  V. Rev. Fr. Austin Peres,Parish Priest, Mr. Jossy Menezes-Vice President, Mrs. Rita Rego–Secretary, Metilda Fernandes and Mabel Sequeira – Vado gurkarns, Mary D’Souza – Rosario Ward representative, Sisters from Carmel and Morning Star Convents were present. The guests were presented with Red Rose by Carmel Vado Gurkarn and members of the Carmel Vado.

Address by Fr. Austin Peres, Mr. Jossy Menezes & Mrs. Rita Rego
Honouring Senior citizens Mrs. Carmin Miranda and Lucy Santhmayor with present and garlands.
Power Lifting Champion – Avil Monis who won Distirct & State Level championship 1st Prize and National level (South India) 2nd Prize was honoured with garland and token gift.

Coffee and snacks were served to all present.

Mrs. Eva Tellis organized the function (M.C.) with her good jokes & John Menezes assisted her. The celebration was grand and the Rev Fr. Austin Peres  complemented on the unity, love and support of the ward families.
