READINGS:

1 R : Acts 2: 36 - 41.
Ps  32 : 4 - 5, 18 - 19, 20 & 22.
Gos : Jn 20 : 11 - 18.

IN THE FIRST READING, WE HAVE THE CONCLUDING PART OF ST. PETER'S FIRST SERMON, ENDING IN RECEIVING BAPTISM BY THREE THOUSAND OR SO.
BY THIS WE CAN IMAGINE HOW POWERFUL MUST HAVE BEEN HIS CONVINCING WORDS ABLY GUIDED AND AIDED BY THE OUTPOURING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.
 
WE SHOULD LEARN A LESSON FROM THIS.
IF WE HAVE THE HOLY SPIRIT ALONE OUR WORDS AND WORKS BECOME FRUITFUL AND EFFECTIVE.

IN THE GOSPEL, WE HAVE THE ENCOUNTER OF MARY OF MAGDALA WITH THE RISEN LORD.
FIRST THING TO NOTE IS : THE PRIVILEGE OF BECOMING THE FIRST WITNESS TO RESURRECTION WAS GIVEN TO A WOMAN, DEFINITELY BECAUSE ' SHE LOVED MOST '.

JUST RECALL THE INCIDENT.
MARY'S MIND IS SO CLOUDED , SHE EVEN FAILS TO RECOGNIZE THE RISEN JESUS EVEN HE STANDS JUST IN FRONT.
THERE IS A LESSON HERE.
WHEN WE ARE OVERWHELMED BY DIFFICULTIES AND EMOTIONS WE ALSO MAY NOT  ' SEE ' JESUS STANDING JUST IN FRONT.
IT IS NECESSARY THAT WE DON'T LOSE SIGHT OF  BY
