Sunday 30 October 2016: Catholic Sabha - Moodbidri  celebrated “Seniors Day” at Corpus Christi Church Hall at 10.30 a.m. onwards. All Seniors of the parish were welcomed by the Sabha group and served malt & biscuits. V. Rev. Fr. Paul Sequeira welcomed the seniors and prepared them for “confession”. Holy Mass was celebrated after the confessions.

 

 

 

 

 

Rev. Fr. Valerian D’souza retired priest from St. Antony’s Ashram was the Chief guest of honour who was the main celebrant and Fr. Paul as co-celebrant. Fr. Valerian preached the elders how to face the old age and keep themselves happy & young. He is 84 years old and an exemplary senior citizen. After the mass all were anointed with oil to make them strong with the grace of Christ to face their old age troubles with strong faith and smile.

 

 

 

 

 

Mr. Emmanuel Monis- President of Moodbidri Catholic Sabha, welcome the guests presenting them a rose . Rev. Fr. Valerian Dsouza, V. Rev. Fr. Paul Sequeira- our Parish Priest, Mr. Melwin Dcosta – Varado Catholic Sabha President, Rev. Frs. Eugene & Prem, Bro. Julius, VP Andrew Noronha, Secretary Rita Rego, Sisters of Morning Star & Carmel Convent were the guests of honour. Parish Priest Fr. Paul spoke to the senior citizens and gave them guidelines to make their life happy and peaceful. Mr. Eldrin compered the programme. Small entertainment was given with songs and games. Secretary Gracy Lasrado  gave a vote of thanks.

 

 

 

 

 

Food was served with drinks and a memento was given to all who attended the program.

We wish good health, peace and happiness to all our senior citizens and thanks to Catholic Sabha for organizing such a programme for our senior citizens.
