Foundation stone laid for the Carmel CBSE building

Aug. 15: The foundation stone laying ceremony for the “Carmel CBSE School” took place on Wednesday 15th August 2012, at 11.30 a.m. 

Rev. Sr.Linette-Apostolic Carmel  Provincial. Superior, Rev. Sr. Edna Furtado-Carmel Educational Secretary, V. Rev. Fr. Austin Peres-Corpus Christi Church-Parish Priest, Sr. Ujwala ex-superior of Carmel convent Moodbidri, Sisters of Carmel Convent-Moodbidri, Mr. Jossy Menezes-vice president & Mrs. Rita Rego-secretary of Corpus Christi Parish Council, Mr. Manoj Alvares-PTA president, Mr. Mathew Francis D'Cunha-the Architect, Mr. Maxim Correa-the Contractor of the building and invitees were present during the occasion.

Prayer service was led by Sr. Aruna in co-ordination with Sr. Naveena,  Sr. Marilda, Sr. Lizzy and Sr. Felcita to invoke the blessings of Almighty.  Rev. Fr. Austin blessed the foundation stone. All Sisters with Rev. Fr. Austin, contractor and Architect laid the foundation stone for the CBSE building.

It was the dream of the AC community to have a school with quality education that will also provide faith education to the children of catholic community and others, which they are deprived of in other Institutions. This desire of theirs was further strengthened with the interest and encouragement of Corpus Christi Church-Parish priest Rev.Fr. Austin Peres, who proposed the plan to the Educational secretary during, her visit here and later to the Provincial Superior.

With the help & support of Provincial Superior & her team, Sr.Ujvala-the then superior, initiated the process which is being continued by Sr. Naveena the present superior.

Laying the foundation Stone of Carmel CBSE School. Moodbidri. marks a great milestone in the history of Carmel Convent, Moodbidri.
