Nellikar, Oct. 6: On 2nd October 2010, Saturday, the people of Kera chapel Nellikar celebrated their patron feast. Kera chapel is the part of Nellikar Parish, the two wards, St Theresa and Christ King belonging to that chapel. This chapel is situated in Mala Hukrette side.
At 10 am there was procession started from the bus stand which is half k.m.,away from the church. The procession was led by very Rev. Fr. Austin Peres, the Vicar vara of Moodbidri denary. The solemn procession reached to the church at 10.30am.
Soon after the procession there was Holy Mass, celebrated by very Rev. Fr. Austin Peres. During his homily he explained the life of St. Teresa of the child Jesus. After the mass there was stage progremme organized by the parish people. There was a facilitation programme organized those who served in that chaple as gurkars and ward representative from the past 25 years.
Mr. Wilfred Fernandes welcomed the guest. Mr. Antony D’Souza proposed the vote of thanks. Mr. Anil Dsilva conducted the programme. The Parish priest Fr. Antony Lasrado, Vicar vara V.Rev. Fr. Austin Peres, St. Victor convent superior Sr Kesheni, sisters Irene, Prema, and Donor Mr. Louis Noronha were present.
