Ash Wednesday at Corpus Christi Church

Feb. 10, 2016:   Morning mass was at 7.00 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church Moodbidri. Church was full of people to start the Lenten season. Ashes were blessed and put on everyone’s head to remind us that “ We came from dust and dust we shall return”

Jesus says “Pray and fast, don’t tear your clothes but tear your hearts.” Let us open our hearts, repent our sins and do penance to go closer to God. God is pleased over repentant sinner and He will open His arms to welcome us.

Lenten season is a time for us to recollect about eternal life and make ourselves worthy to enter the kingdom of Heaven through the mercy of Almighty God.
