Easter Vigil celebrated

26th March 2016: Easter Vigil:  (Alleluia Saturday) Corpus Christi Church Moodbidri, celebrated the Resurrection of Jesus  -Paschal Vigil liturgy . The service started at 7.30 p.m. with blessing of fire and lighting the Paschal Candle. Rev. Fr. Ajit Menezes Asst. Director of Fr. Muller’s Hospital was the main celebrant. Rev. Fr. Antony Fernandes & V.Rev. Fr. Austin Peter Peres were the co-celebrants.  Reading were read to remind us how God saved the people of Egypt and how the death of Jesus redeemed all mankind from sin opening the doors of heaven to us. 

During the Mass Holy water was blessed and the baptismal vows were recited. After the mass people wished each other “A Happy Easter”.

Parish Priest wished all who attended the service, those who were unable to attend due to sickness and to all parishioners working in foreign countries “Happy Easter”.

The resurrection of  Jesus reminds us the “Life  after death” through God’s love and mercy.
