Corpus Christi Church Celebrates Joyous Children's Day Event

On the vibrant afternoon of November 12, 2023, Corpus Christi Church reverberated with laughter and cheer as it celebrated Children's Day with a myriad of activities. The dedicated Catechist orchestrated a lively event, commencing with a Bible quiz and lucky games for all the children within the church community, setting the tone for a day filled with joy.

Preceding the Children's Mass, a stage program unfolded, curated by the Catechist. Prior to the program, delightful refreshments were served to both catechism students and their parents, fostering a sense of community spirit. The program commenced with a prayer song by Catechism teachers, followed by an entertaining action song that captivated the children's enthusiasm.

The Young Catholic Students (YCS) took charge of engaging spot games, infusing an extra layer of excitement. The deserving winners were honored with prizes, adding a competitive yet joyous element to the celebration. Notable figures including Parish Priest Very Rev. Fr. Onil D'Souza, Parish Pastoral Parishad Vice President Mr. Vincent D'Souza, Secretary Mr. Norbert Martis, and Convener Mrs. Celine D'Souza graced the occasion with their presence.

In his presidential speech, Rev. Fr. Onil D'Souza lauded the efforts of the Catechist, expressing gratitude for the well-organized Children's Day event. The priest extended congratulations to the winners and bestowed blessings upon all the gathered children. The program, skillfully compered by Catechist Mrs. Lavina D'Almeida, concluded with a vote of thanks from Mrs. Clara D'Costa, who expressed gratitude to all contributors.
