Corpus Christi Parishioner Elected ICYM Diocesan President

Moodbidri, July 13, 2025: In a historic achievement for Corpus Christi Church, parishioner Mr. Vijoy Cardoza of St. Lawrence Ward has been elected President of the ICYM Central Council for the Mangalore Diocese — the first ever from the parish to hold this prestigious position.

To mark this proud moment, a felicitation ceremony was held on Sunday, July 13, after the morning Mass. Rev. Fr Onil D'Souza, the parish priest, led the celebrations and honoured Vijoy with a memento, garland, and fruit basket, in the presence of the Parish Pastoral Committee members.

Also felicitated during the occasion was Miss Maria from Surathkal, newly elected Secretary of the ICYM Central Council. Fr Onil D'Souza congratulated both leaders and encouraged them to serve the youth with dedication and integrity.

The parish community extended its heartfelt wishes and prayers for a fruitful term of service in the ICYM leadership.
