Corpus Christi Church Hosts Prayer Service Featuring Intercession, Worship, and Sermon

On Thursday, April 25th, 2024, Corpus Christi Church reverberated with prayers and devotion as it hosted a comprehensive prayer service from 5 to 9 PM. The evening commenced with an intercession prayer led by Mrs. Jacintha Monis and Mrs. Violet Nazreth at 5 PM, setting the spiritual tone for the event.

Following the intercession, the congregation partook in the holy Eucharist mass and a novena to the Infant Jesus from 5:30 to 6:15 PM, underscoring the significance of communion and devotion. Praise and worship took center stage thereafter, led by Br. Elias and his team from 6:30 PM onward. Br. Maxim from Divine Call Centre, Mulki, captivated the audience with his music and hymns, fostering an atmosphere of reverence and worship.

Mrs Janet Fernandes shared her remarkable testimony of her physical healing by attending Thursdays prayer service.

Rev. Fr. Anil Alfred D’Souza delivered a poignant sermon on the essence of living as faithful servants of God. Drawing from the life of Christ, Fr. Anil D’Souza emphasized Jesus' humble service as a model for leadership. He elucidated three core characteristics of a godly servant: love, faith, and humility, urging attendees to embody these virtues.

After the homily, adoration to the blessed sacrament was led by Bro. Elias, who fervently prayed for the sick, suffering, and the upcoming parliamentary elections, seeking divine guidance and intervention. Attendees fervently prayed for the intention of reforming a good society seeking collective transformation through spiritual guidance and communal effort.

Rev. Fr. Onil D’Souza concluded the service with a benediction, imparting blessings upon all present. Testimonies of physical healing and inner peace resonated among the attendees, a testament to the power of faith and prayer.

In his closing remarks, Rev. Fr. Onil D’Souza expressed gratitude to sponsors and supporters whose contributions ensured the success and spiritual enrichment of the prayer service. The evening culminated with a simple dinner served to all attendees, fostering fellowship and community spirit.
